We will begin our time together with a wordless wooden marionette show that bypasses language and speaks directly to the heart. Right after the performance, we will start the workshop: each participant will build their very own unique marionette and learn step-by-step how to move it and bring it to life.

Using accessible crafting techniques, the workshop is suitable for all levels—no prior experience required.

We will draw, cut, color, and attach a bird that flaps its wings when a string is pulled.
Workshop for ages 5 and up (under 5 - accompanied by an adult)
Duration: approximately 45 minutes
Finger puppet and clothespin workshop
We will color and cut out puppets (characters from the play Elcha's Journey to the Land of Humans).
We will make puppets with toed legs, puppets with an opening mouth, or stick puppets from them.

1. Watching a wordless wooden puppet show.
2. A conversation with many demonstrations and surprises about the craft of puppetry (with an emphasis on woodworking)
3. Marionette creation workshop

Shadow workshop
We will begin with a short puppet show to demonstrate the use of shadow theater, then get down to work: we will make our own shadow puppets and perform with them.
